Artist's Statement: Art is art. It's all in the eye of the beholder. The vast amount of bad art out there is proof of that. Bad art is something that I endeavor to avoid. It cracks me up to hear some artist go off on some rant about some kind of devine inspiration for something that looks like they puked paint on a canvas. I don't wish to say anything with my illustrations political or otherwise. Instead I try to convey an emotion. A feeling of romance. Our sences need to be stimulated. Sometimes gently and at times hard and direct. It's like food. A bland meal is pointless to eat cxcept for sustenance. But a spicy meal gets your attention and stays with you.
